Meet the PVA… |
| Hi, my name is Patsy Conway and I have been the Franklin County Property Valuation Administrator since November 1996. I filled a two-year unexpired term that year and ran unopposed in the 1998 election, the 2002 election and the 2006 election. I shall be happy to be your PVA for another 4 years. |
| I was born in Winchester, Kentucky and moved to Frankfort in 1956. My late father was a Baptist minister and moved to Frankfort to pastor the Providence Baptist Church and later pastored the Trinity Baptist Church. I attended Franklin County grade schools and graduated from Franklin County High School in June 1964. I worked at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital for 8 ½ years. I opened Patsy’s Beauty Shop in 1970 and worked there until I received my Real Estate license in June of 1986. I am married to Melvin C. Conway who was born and raised in Frankfort and who has been a great support to me in making my decision to run for public office. My Mother lives with us in our home here in Frankfort and I have three sisters who also live in the Frankfort area. |

| I ran for the office of PVA believing that I could serve my community with the experience and education that I had received in the real estate industry. I am an inactive Real Estate Broker and a Graduate of the Realtors’ Institute. The additional hours I have received in Appraising under the late J. Isert at UK’s Lexington Community College, completing appraising classes and marketing seminars, doing market evaluations and comparative reports on properties have helped give me the expertise I need to do a good job for you, the taxpayers. I believe in fairness and that is my utmost goal. I believe in honesty, integrity, sincerity, promotion of education of the PVA staff and the desire to bring the office up to the cutting edge of technology. I have received my CKA (Certified Kentucky Assessor) and my SKA (Senior Kentucky Assessor) designations since I have become PVA. I work hard in everything I do and to accomplish the goals I set to attain. |

| I will have completed 11 years of service to you as your PVA in November 2007. Thanks for all your help and support in the past and I look forward to continue working with you in the future. There are goals for this office I have not yet accomplished; so, there is a lot of work to do. You have been so kind to help us with digitizing our pictures, getting the square footage of your property correctly measured, etc. Thanks again for all your help and we will continue to strive to accomplish our goals. |
